Crocheted and felted shoulder bags made from undyed Spelsau wool locally sourced from Det Vilde Spinderi on northern Sjælland in Denmark. The Spelsau sheep are naturally a mixture of beige, white, grey, brown, and black, with the colors always differing greatly on each sheep. It almost feels like no grey and no beige is ever truly the same hue.
These bags were designed to use up any small bits of wool from my weaving process and any small amounts of yarn that is left on the cone. I work directly with Det Vilde Spinderi to spin various thicknesses and textures of yarn for my practice. Each bag is unique and one of a kind, some resulting quite textured from a very textured yarn, others much smoother from a finer more consistent yarn.
